3 Musketeers

3 Musketeers is an abstract board game for two players. It was made by by Haar Hoolim and published in Sid Sackson's A Gamut of Games. It uses the principal of unequal forces: the two players neither use the same types of pieces nor the same rules, and their victory conditions are different.

The game is played on 5x5 square board. setup

MUSKETEER

A musketeer moves to an adjacent orthogonal cell occupied by a soldier and kill it.

SOLDIER

A soldier moves to an adjacent orthogonal empty cell.

Diagonal moves by either player are not allowed.

TURNS

Musketeers do the first move. Then, moves alternate.

GOAL

The musketeers wins if they cannot make a valid move. The soldier wins if the 3 musketeers are on the same row or column.
