Rules Variants Play Online Database Openings

There are three phases of the game:

the opening at the beginning of the game
the filling phase at the end of the game.
The filling phase consists of positions where each empty square on board can be reached by one and only one player In many games this happens after 50-60 moves. In the filling phase includes positions amazons of different colours are separated by arrows. The outcome of the game can be determined by counting the number of moves left to each player has.

Block Opponent

The basic strategy is to block your opponent into a small area surrounded by arrows. Since the Amazon must fire arrows, it will soon run out of moves.

Block yourself

You can block one of your own Amazons into a large area, while the others fight over the remaining territory with your opponent. Do not move that Amazon and the blocked the area becomes a reserve of free moves which can be used at the end of the game in filling phase.
