Version 1.0, Release Date: June 25,2005, Made by Mark Okun

You can play Lines of Action on Pocket PC

Features:

  • Full color graphics
  • 14 levels (Registred version only)
  • You can save games in files
  • Set up any position or modify the current game
  • All the properties are saved so you don't need to customize levels, colors, etc. every time you start the program
  • Hint, undo, take back, switch sides, and more...

Rules

  • Each turn, the player to move has to move one of his pieces, in a straight line, exactly as many squares as there are pieces of either colour anywhere along the line of movement. (These are the Lines of Action).
  • You may jump over your own pieces.
  • You may not jump over your opponent's pieces, but you can capture them by landing on them.
  • The object of the game is to turn your pieces into one connected unit. The connections within the group may be either orthogonal or diagonal.
  • If one player is reduced by captures to a single piece, that is a win for this player.
  • If a move simultaneously creates a single connected unit for both the player moving and the opponent, the player moving wins.
  • If a player cannot move, this player loses
  • If a position with the same player to move occurs for the second time, the game is drawn.
Game invented by Claude Soucie, around 1960.

Quote: Those who are affect by music can be divided into two classes: those who hear the spiritual meaning, and those who hear the material sound. There are good and evil results in each case.
