Gothic Checkers is an old German draughts varian, which was influenced by Turkish Draughts.

Rules

  1. Board size: 8x8
  2. Pieces per side: 16

  3. King move

    Kings may move and attack in any of the eight directions like Chess King. Kings can only attack adjacent pieces, by jumping over them to the next square.

  4. Man move

    I found few variation how man moves:
  5. Men capture by jumping opponent's pieces forward, sideways and backward
  6. When a man reaches the last row it promotes to a flying king.
